Also known as the Alphabet District, Nob Hill was platted in 1845 by Captain Couch (formerly Couch was ‘C’ Street) and continues to be a delightfully diverse part of Portland’s neighborhood landscape. Known also for NW 21st through 23rd and the shops, restaurants and bars that pepper the area, Nob Hill retains an incredible number of vintage apartments–a few of which have been converted to condos.
