The stunning neighborhood of Alameda or Alameda Ridge, is a 2-mile ridge filled with beautiful architecture along it’s winding streets. Developed in 1910 through 1940, the homes were built closely together on the side facing the city so the views are enjoyed primarily by those lucky home owners on the south side. Bungalows, English Tudors, Colonial Revival and Mediterranean Mission styled homes permeate the area with lavish architectural detailing. Many of these homes were built on an incredibly grand scale and on the streets further from the ridge, the neighborhood has plenty of homes with a more regular foot print but with all of the charm and detail. Near Beaumont Village to the east and just above Grant Park, stroll, bike, walk and drool yourself right on through this wonderful gem in northeast Portland!
