How Many Homes Sold in NW Portland in 2010?
If you were to guess about homes sold in NW Portland in 2010 vs. 2009, would you assume total homes sold were higher or lower? Hmmmm, would you be shocked to know that raw overall home sales in NW Portland were up 13% in 2010 vs. 2009?
Out of the nine neighborhoods in Northwest Portland : Bethany, Bonny Slope, Catlin Crest, Cedar Mill, Oak Hills, Rock Creek, Somerset, West Haven & Windemere, not every area had a stellar year and yet for an overall area to be 13% up on raw sales over LY, it’s very encouraging for what we hope will be an even stronger 2011.

Looking at the 100+Solds under $500k (= a 17% increase over LY!!) shows clearly the price point in which homes are moving in NW Portland overall.

Condos, Attached homes, Short Sale & Bank Owned property under $250k drove those numbers.

The second best sweet spot was between $300k-$350k

Price point between $500-$600k was the biggest sticking point with an 11% decrease in solds vs. 2009.
